Peter Lewinski, Asmir Gračanin & Dean McDonnell will be exploring the concept in our multicultural & multifaceted world: is there a value in obtaining a Doctorate in Psychology? The question we are sure many Students in Psychology wonder, as it is an enormous challenge and commitment.
The Guest Speakers:
Peter Lewinski is an Oxford graduate with postdoc/assistant professor in economics from the top business schools, with hundreds of citations & 8 years of experience in A.I. He is an Ex-ING Director where he led 10 data Scientists.
Asmir Gračanin is a docent at the Department of psychology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Rijeka, Croatia. Since 2003, he has conducted experimental research on psychophysiology of emotion and emotion regulation and related individual differences. His field of interest includes evolutionary psychology, in particular human sexuality, as well as emotional processes in general. In recent years, he focused especially on the topic of human emotional crying, and in particular on its evolutionary origins, as well as both social and intra-individual effects of this emotional reaction. He spent two years at Tilburg University (The Netherlands) as a post-doc studying emotional crying. At the moment, he is the head of the PhD study program in psychology at the University or Rijeka, where he also supervises several PhD candidates, one of which has recently graduated.
Dean McDonnell is an Experienced Academic Supervisor and Lecturer in Psychology with a Ph.D. in the Psychology of Education. He is currently working at the Institute of Technology, Carlow and is also a council member of the Psychological Society of Ireland. Demonstrated history of working in the fields of Psychology and Education with students across Primary, Post-Primary, and Higher Education sectors.
