The first month of the EFPSA mandate has been a very busy period for all EFPSA teams who have been working on a variety of different projects since the Congress in Vimeiro, Torres Vedras, Portugal, while also settling into their new roles. We are surprised at how quickly the month has flown by, however, we are pleased to be updating you with the latest news from the Federation.

Since the Congress, the Marketing Office has been editing the photographs of the EFPSA Working Community in order to add the finishing touches to our new website, which will be officially published shortly. Additionally, the members of the Marketing Office have been going through a large number of photographs and editing and selecting them in order to release the official Congress 2016 album as soon as possible.

The Events Office, as well as the Training Office have been busy preparing for the Train the Trainers (TtT) summer school which will be taking place in Lithuania at the end of August. We would like to thank all those who submitted their applications for the TtT. Additionally, The first Trainers’ Meeting (TRAM) of the mandate will be held in the Czech Republic at the end of July. Following the participant selection for this Event, the Training Office and the Events Office are also working towards the preparation and organisation of TRAM.  The Training Office is also currently busy reading your applications and the results will be announced in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, the European Summer School (ESS) Team is busy making the necessary final preparations for the participants of the 10th edition of the Event, which will be held in Ozdere, Turkey this coming July.

The JEPS Team has just published a new, interesting blogpost entitled ‘The Statistics Hell has Expanded: An Interview with Prof. Andy Field’ which you can read here, while the Social Impact Initiative Team has published a paper on the ‘Organised Acts of Kindness’ campaign, which can be found here. The Study and Travel Abroad Team has been updating various databases while also looking into new projects and expanding their reach in order to bring psychology students closer to this EFPSA Service.

Meanwhile, the EFPSA Office is currently working on preparing the first External and Internal Newsletters, while also proofreading and editing a large number of material in anticipation of the upcoming summer EFPSA Events. Meanwhile, the Finance Office has been researching different grants and looking into different possible partnerships in order to increase EFPSA’s sustainability.

The Members Office have been busy promoting the large number of Calls throughout the past month while also preparing for the first e-voting of the mandate, which has just been opened. We look forward to sharing the results of this with you all in our next postcard!

With regards to external relations, the External Relations Office has been initiating and preparing for position and policy paper writing. Finance Officer, Ana Škeljo, has attended the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA) Presidential Council Meeting which was held in Istanbul, Turkey on 27th May. Here, EFPSA as an associate member of EFPA, had the opportunity to engage with different professionals from EFPA’s members, as well as the EFPA Executive Council while receiving updates, news and contributing to the discussions during the meeting. We would like to thank EFPA for their invitation and we look forward to continue to strengthen our collaboration throughout the  mandate.
