If you are not afraid to discover dark sides of the human mind and explore the depths of psyche, our 2nd EFPSA Conference is just for you! Do not miss your chance to be part of the biggest scientifically oriented EFPSA event, which will be held in Ružomberok, Slovakia from the 14th until the 17th of November 2015!

The Conference looks at the dark side of the human being, while on the other hand it offers a range of positive and supportive potentialities. It will take place at the Faculty of Arts and Letters and in the University Library of the Catholic University in Ružomberok. The Conference will host approximately 150 participants and renowned speakers from Europe.

The professional mentors of the Conference are prof. Dr. Robert Roe (NL), the president of the European Federation of Psychologist’s Associations (EFPA); prof. PhDr. Ivo Čermák, CSc. (CZ), who works at the Institute of Psychology at the Academy of Science of the Czech Republic and is a lecturer at the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University in Brno and at the Faculty of Arts and Letters at the Catholic University in Ružomberok; and prof. PhDr. Jana Plichtová, PhD. (SK), working at the Comenius University at Department of Psychology where she is lecturing qualitative methodology, experimental social psychology and cross-cultural social psychology, while she works at SAV, the Slovak Academy of Science.

Sneak Peak

Concerning the scientific programme of the Conference, we have prepared interesting lectures, workshops and poster sessions for you. These will be provided by both local and international speakers.

You can be looking forward to Gabriela Mikulášková (SK), expert in developmental psychology, psychodiagnostics, clinical psychology of children and psychotherapy.

Lucia Martinčeková, with a research focus on the topics of forgiveness, bereavement, meaning-making, shame, and guilt, is a conductor of International Forgiveness Institute – Slovakia.

Researchers from the Czech National Institute of Mental Health will provide some enlightenment related to the neurophysiology of sleep, including sleep chronotypes, circadian physiology of sleep and other topics such as sleep disorders: Denisa Janečková (CZ), Eva Fárková (CZ), Kamila Weissová (CZ), Karolina Veldová (CZ), Daniela Dudysová (CZ), Monika Lišková (CZ) and Michal Šmotek (SK).
