Dear friends of EFPSA,
Last month saw the end of another university semester which is always a particularly busy time that involves a lots of exams and coursework, but, as always, we successfully wrapped it uo and now we are more than eager to share with you a short retrospective of the news in our Federation.
While you are reading this, our first event since the Congress in Romania is taking place in Mellau, Austria. The 8th European Summer School with the theme of Work and Organizational Psychology is gathering lecturers, supervisors and participants for a week of unique academic and social experience and from what we heard from Ana (Activities Officer and member of the ESS team) everything seems to be going very smoothly and according to plan. We are very excited to hear more updates from the team and the participants as the week progresses, and we wish lots of good luck and plenty of beautiful memories to everyone involved with this years’ ESS!
Right after the ESS, another summer event will take place. In just over a month away, Slovenia is going to host the 5th Train the Trainers Summer School. The Training Office had the difficult task of selecting only 12 participants from a large pool of highly motivated applicants, but they are delighted with the applicants chosen and are very excited for their planned programme. The final stages of preparation for the event is underway and we are certainly looking forward to seeing the fifth generation of trainers in EFPSA.
Speaking of EFPSA trainers, the Training Office is finalising the preparations for TRAC – the Training Conference, which will take place at the end of this month. The EFPSA trainers are going to meet to discuss the development of future trainings, discuss new ideas and discuss feedback on each other’s work. Undoubtedly, it will be an inspirational and productive meeting.
After the first E-Voting of the mandate, the Member Representatives acknowledged and approved all the proposals. This included both the members and action plans for the two new Task Forces in EFPSA – the Research & Internship Platform Task Force and the Statutes & Domestic Regulations Revision Task Force. The teams have already begun working and we’d like to welcome them to the EFPSA Community.
JEPS published a Call for Associate Editors which is still open (until 31st July) and you can find more information about it at the following link. This is another great opportunity to get involved with EFPSA, so we definitely recommend that you check it out.
The Marketing Team has finished updating all the information and pictures for the new mandate on the website. Iif you’re curious to get to know the people working for EFPSA this year, check our Facebook page, which is filled with photos of all the teams. We would love to hear your favourite EFPSA-related memory, so feel free to share yours in the comment section of the picture album too.
Summer is here and hopefully everybody is enjoying their very well-deserved holidays and gathering energy, strength and motivation for the next pending academic year. We want to wish a fantastic summer to everyone and sincerely hope it brings many beautiful memories and exciting adventures!
