It is unbelievable that we are already publishing our third postcard! The last three months have gone so quickly and we have worked very hard and are now happy to see the first fruits of our labour. The new EFPSA website was only published a few days ago and we are very proud of it. Along with our fantastic Web Team, the Board of Management planned the launch carefully, writing and proof-reading content and discussing the structure of what you see now on efpsa.org intensively during the last month.
We have also been making new and important connections during July by sending our JEPS editor-in-chief Ivan Flis and our Member Representative Coordinator Chris Noone to this year’s Right to Research Coalition meeting in Hungary. Both came back with new, exciting and important ideas on how EFPSA can join and support the open access movement, laying the groundwork for exciting discussions yet to come.
We are also very happy and proud to announce that this year’s European Summer School in Portugal was a great success. Coming together and thinking about research concerned with “The Biased Brain”, students as well as supervisors enjoyed a very educationally stimulating week. Currently some of the participants of last year’s summer school are residing in Cambridge (UK) in order to complete their Young Researchers’ Programme.
As we are preparing for our first Board of Management meeting at the end of the month in Ireland, we are sending you wishes from the EFPSA world to wherever you are. This month will be a very exciting one for all of us and we can’t wait to tell you all about it in the next postcard.
