TAT 2017 will take place in the beautiful surroundings of Viseu, Portugal.
Why is Portugal the ideal country to host TAT? First, the people: warm hearted and eager to welcome visitors with open arms. Second, Portugal has over 800 years of history, customs, culture and tradition. From North to South, from Minho to Algarve, Azores and Madeira; Portugal has a cultural heritage of excellence. Third, the Portuguese traditions: Port Wine, “pastéis de belém” ( sweet cream puffs –  one of the 7 Wonders of Portugal’s Gastronomy in 2011), the music style “Fado” (elevated to the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, in 2011) are among the most prominent traditions. Those who visit Portugal have the privilege of experiencing many places of great importance, not only for the country itself, but for the whole world. Portugal holds a high number of monuments and sites classified as World Heritage, which is considered to be a great influence on the tourism sector within the country.
