Make a significant change in society by combating the stigma of mental disorders! Become a Local Coordinator in your city/country and organize the “Mind the Mind” campaign!
The EFPSA Social Impact Initiative (SII) is currently looking for Local Coordinators for the fifth wave of our campaign “Mind the Mind – to Combat the Stigma of Mental Disorders”.
We are looking for psychology students or graduates who have:
- experience with event organising and managing
- effective communication skills
- social awareness
- social responsibility
By gathering a group of volunteers and implementing a meaningful campaign, YOU could help decrease stigma and the social exclusion of people with mental disorders by raising awareness about the presence and effects of stigma. Moreover, you can make it more likely that people with mental disorders will seek psychological help. Join the campaign and be one of the many psychology students around Europe who will make a change!
Within EFPSA, Social Impact refers to an initiative aiming to make use of psychological knowledge in order to make a significant positive impact on society. The team’s first project was the campaign “Mind the Mind – to Combat the Stigma of Mental Disorders.” We aim to raise awareness, educate and combat stereotypes surrounding mental health problems.
After concluding the fourth wave of the campaign, 26 European countries and countless number of satisfied psychology and high-school students involved are the evidence of the campaign’s success. With each consecutive wave, the materials being used are reviewed and updated based on the feedback and suggestions from everyone who took part in the campaign, meaning the fifth wave will have an even greater impact on European society. In order to achieve our goal, we are looking for Local Coordinators to help us facilitate the campaign all across Europe.
