Some words from the organisation:
The internship will consist of activities in the psychology department regarding 3 areas: test development and maintenance; consulting and internationalisation.

Test development and maintenance intern’s tasks: support in data analysis (such as classical and item response theory modelling, validation analyses of real world data from clinical studies and/or customers, norming of test data, etc.), test conceptualisation (literature and internet research, development of item concepts and items, etc.) and documentation as well as the familiarisation with a broad spectrum of tests from our inventory.

Regarding consulting the tasks revolve around customer projects and support such as preparing presentations, develop and construct results for customers (such as reports tailored to the needs of customers) and participation in meetings
with customers and/or scientific partners. Regarding internationalisation the tasks revolve around pre- and post-processing of translations for our tests as well as psychologically oriented harmonisation of test contents for different languages.
The interns can take part in in-house trainings and get to know our test and research center where we collect data for our norms and test developments.

Location: Moedling, Austria
Duration: Start from September 2018 , the duration depends on the chosen Model, see bellow for more information

Intern profile requirements: EU citizenship, Level of studies: current Bachelor or Masters in psychology and graduated Bachelor in psychology in recent 2 years are eligible to apply.
Experience (voluntary and/or work): knowledge of statistics, test theory, preferably work related experience in HR or clinics

Language fluency preferred: preferably German level C1 or Fluent English

Terms: For an internship at Schuhfried the interns can choose between three models,

  • Model 1 has a duration of 4 weeks for 38.5 hours per week and is remunerated with about 1.080€ after taxes,
  • Model 2 has a duration of 6 weeks for 38.5 hours per week and is remunerated with about 1.550€ after taxes,
  • Model 3 has a duration of 12 weeks for 20 hours per week and is remunerated with about 1.550€ after taxes,

The interns are insured according to Austrian law, however accommodation is not provided.
